Policy Development
The original NSA example policy has been superseded by the SELinux reference policy project, maintained by Tresys Technology. Tresys has also developed and maintained a collection of policy tools, includingthe original setools suite as well as newer tools such as the SELinux Integrated Development Environment. Tresys also maintains some white papers and documentation on SELinux at this link, and offers a class on policy writing. The class was also the basis for a recent book on SELinux policy writing.
The MITRE Corporation has developed the slat and polgen policy tools at this link to help with policy analysis and generation.
Hitachi Software developed several SELinux policy tools, one of which has been updated and further enhanced in the SELinux Policy Editor project.
